Pray for Japan / 日本のために祈りを　(2) ファッション業界から

2011年3月11日、日本で東北地方太平洋沖地震が起こり、たくさんの方が亡くなり、被災されました。
この大災害を受けて、海外から日本に対して、本当にたくさんのメッセージが送られました。
ジョルジオ・アルマーニやフェンディといったファッション業界の大御所デザイナーからは、イラストつきで心温まるメッセージが寄せられました。

The tragic events that have taken place in Japan have involved all of us deeply.
The images we are now seeing daily on our television screens and in our newspapers show the plight of those affected and the scale of this terrible tragedy.
I wish to recognize the courage and perseverance of those affected, fighting against fear under intolerable circumstances.
My thoughts are with all of them during this difficult moment.

日本で起こったこの悲劇的な出来事は、私たち皆に深くかかわるものです。
私たちが今、毎日テレビ画面や新聞で目にする光景は、被災された人々の苦しい状況や、このひどい悲劇の大きさを映しています。
私は、被災され、耐え難い状況の元で恐怖と戦う人々の勇気や忍耐力に敬意を表したいと思います。
この困難な時期に、私の心は皆さんすべてと共にあります。

My wish is that Japan will find in these values the strength to face this tragedy and to keep looking at future!
